My roommate says "God bless!" instead of "God damn!" just to be ironic.

I'm not quite sure I follow that one. Is saying "God bless you" when someone sneezes also blasphemy?
Saying "God bless you" to someone who sneezes originates in the pagan superstition that when you sneeze, you risk sneezing out your soul. Aren't Christians supposed to avoid paganisms, the occult, etc?

Try this:

God bless George Bush and the American Army as they kill infidels!

or

God bless our ancestors who stole this land from the native Americans.

Could a real Christian even think this?

Of course, they probably think they are saying "God bless American peace and prosperity" without thinking.

I have known plenty of fundies who seemed to believe America was God's new chosen nation a la Israel. I think this is a big reason they work so hard to steal America and make it a theocracy. God has a tendency to treat his chosen people like crap when they turn away from him. Some fundies I've known were effectively afraid that we'll be carted off into captivity if we don't all bow before God...

A Missouri woman Selling jasperware on ebay sent me an email with shipping price that ended "God bless our America". She knew I was Australian because I had just won the auction and sent her my address so she could send the item.

Frankly I found it offensive and repulsively arrogant of her. I sent a reply saying, "God bless Pakistan, Indian, Australia and absolutely every nation on Earth.

Within thirty seconds there was a reply from her saying, "Yes indeed, God bless each and every one of us."

Who knows? Maybe she's grown up just a little.
