Under a hypothetical scenario of an 'age of accountability' can you imagine the conversation between God and the child.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall there...

God: "Oh, hello, you're one of the little ones that drowned huh, ooh we've had a lot of you today"

God: "Yes yes you died see, don't you remember vomiting seawater as your lungs, in a vain effort to find fresh air, inhaled the painful salty brew?"

God: "How did it happen?... uhh well see I decided to kill you".

God: "Cause you were evil... but look at it this way, you were a couple of months off the age of accountability, so you get in to heaven for free".

God: " Your mother, yes, yes, the one who tried desperately to hold you out of the rising water even as it consumed her life, I remember her... yes she's dead too. "

God: "No you wont see her again, I sent her to hell to burn forever."

God: "Well she was >evil< wasn't she? *shudder* so "unclean".

God: "Yes your father is burning too, and your elder brothers. In fact, well, pretty much everyone who ever held you, loved you, played with you... they're all screaming in pain now."

God: "Well yes I did save SOME people, a drunkard and his kids. Along with EVERY ANIMAL ON THE PLANET"

God: "What do you mean they'd never fit on the ark..."

God: "Anyway, that's not important, come in, you have a place in heaven"

God: "What will you be doing?? Well you're going to worship me for eternity aren't you"

God: "no I'm afraid you don't have a choice, free will was a mistake I made on Earth, I'm not making it again.

Pure evil, indeed.
Well considering the people were evil, I don't picture parents clinging to their dear children to save them from the rising waters. I picture the parents doing anything they can to save their own skin, while throwing their children in a "dumpster"

God also gave them 120 freakin years to repent of their evil and turn to God. But no, just like so many people today ( i.e atheists), they ignore God's warning. "Oh it won't happen, its all a myth, Noah must just be building this 450 foot boat for giggles". Sorry, no sympathy for the adults, and the children are now in heaven for eternity. A brief moment of suffering compared to eternity of bliss, where as if the children grew up and followed their parents, they would have likely been murderers and thieves, destined for Hell. Children today suffer worse than those in the flood, and its prolonged suffering. Which would you prefer, being killed quickly by rushing waters, or spending months starving to death?

Physical life on earth is no the most important thing. Its insignificant compared to eternity.

Erm, yeah sorry, wholly evil parents and clinging to their baby loved ones to save their lives just doesn't compute with me. And again, 120 years of warning!

And how much good did it actually do??

First moment spare off the ark we've got Noah wasted and naked, we've got curses raining down on his son leading to years and years of disgraceful racial profilling.

1 or 2 chapters later you've got the tower of Babel.

Good job God did of cleaning up the evil in the world huh.

It's a crock Magus, how do you not see that.

Its an advertising slogan capitalizing on the 'it's unsinkable' pronouncements of prideful men.

Unwisely chosen, perhaps, but hardly one of the top ten (or even top 100) stupid signs of all time.

Which might be an interesting thread of its own!

Like those who claim some intimate relationship with the alleged creator and ruler of the Universe?

And here is Snopes on the Titanic's unsinkability -- it was advertised as being close to unsinkable, though not absolutely unsinkable.

Yes. The eternity spent in nonexistance. Show me some freakin' evidence for an afterlife.

Where's the middle finger icon, I need one to direct at the god of the OT...

That evil woman looks like she's trying her best to keep her baby alive. If we can't trust Chick, who can we trust?

I think the 120 years was referring to the lifespan of all humans born from that point on.

And even if the grace period was 120 years, not ALL of them would have been alive to take full advantage of the 120 years.
