William Walker argues very convincingly against this position in his book, which is the subject of this thread Interpolations in the Pauline Letters by William O. I can't make sense out of this. The Bede article reiterated some standard arguments. Bede is not an authority in his own right. Is there some reason it should be accepted uncritically?
