Default Looking for a quote

Don't know by whom, don't know the exact wording; something akin to:

"Religion's success lies in convincing you that you're afflicted with a disease for which they have/are the only cure."

Look vaguely familiar to anyone? Thanks in advance!

Plenty. I get a lot of 'faith healing testimonial' sites.

My feable memory thinks it's Robert Heinlein, but I've not found anything of his resembling that, quite yet.

That does sound like it could come straight out of the "proverbs" in Time Enough for Love, but none of his books take the friendliest stance towards religion, so it's difficult to tell.

It sounds a lot like Dawkins. I'll see what I can find. Someone over at the JREF could probably tell you in two minutes.
