I've never understood this defense. It makes a prophecy into a not-so-surprising prediction.

If that "prohpecy" really meant that Jesus thought that his followers would have dreams about him before they died, is it really worth much? It's a given.

So yeah, to the extent that it's fulfilled, it's very weak. To the extent that it's a bold and specific prophecy, it's false.

First off it's spelt 'Apocalypse'. Second, most people refer to that book as 'Revelations'. Third, what's your point?

Here are a few of my favorites:

Matthew says that Mary Magdalene entered Jesus' tomb and was told BY AN ANGEL that Jesus had risen.

John says Jesus Himself told her.

Luke says all 11 remaining disciples were in the room when Jesus first appeared to them after the resurrection.

John says Thomas was absent.

Mark says the women arrived at Jesus' tomb "after the sun had risen."

John says it was still dark.

Compare the J to P creation stories.

Compare the P and E treatments of Moses. I particularly love Moses revisiting the same rock to have the same story decades later.

One I like is Matt 5:17-20. then the contradictions start from 21 to at least 42.

Exodus 34:1 (Moses had smashed the first ten commandment tablets)

And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

Then the ten commandments, bearing no resemblance to the first, are written. (Don't cook a calf in its mothers milk, etc.)

As much as I love to laugh at biblical contradicitions, I think I read somewhere that unless you demand the bible to be accurate to two significant figures, it doesn't actually define pi=3.

Besides, its much funner to laugh at the contradicitions between the OT God and the NT God

I agree. I love how in the OT, god tells them to stone to death adulterers. Then in the NT Jesus thinks the people are a bunch of sick hypocrites to want to stone the adulterous woman. I guess after god told Moses what rules to follow, he forgot to clue in jesus. The holy spirit and jesus are the "black sheep" of the trinity. They don't like to talk about them in the OT. Or clue them in on what's going on. Even in the NT jesus still hasn't got enough of a clue.
