Perhaps he's just found out that Laura has been unfaithful to him, and he's admitting that he's cornuto, "wearing the horns".

I'll not speculate on who his wife might prefer to bed.

cheers,
Michael

Theli, does this sign mean "devil" in the Scandinavian culture?

Still does in the rock scene, leastways in Britain. At the very most its been toned down to just mean 'rocking' generally, but certainly no night in a metal club would be complete without flicking the horns in the air mid-power stance :devil3:

Thing is though, SURELY it can't be coincidence that Texas is the armpit of America with all the worst pollution, executions, illeteracy etc. I reckon it has a Hell Mouth in it... Send in Buffy ! She'd get past Bush's SS guards any day

Keep on rocking Bush, keep on rocking...

I think you're reading too much into this.

I remember a TV show long ago where various characters were arguing that this is a symbol of cuckoldry. However, one character refuted it--yeah, it can be, but it was also a symbol of support for some sports team (football??)--the Longhorns. IIRC a Texas team. Remember where we got that piece of evil from.

While I don't know that they were telling the truth I doubt they would make something like that up as too many people would call them on it.
