You would know about any UW and OW and post edits, right? What was the suprising to you about seeing your record?

I looked at the member list.

Seebs, you have been bringing up one complaint after the next for years, practically on a daily basis. This is just another in a long string of your complaints about CF. CF will never be exactly as you want it. You need to accept that.
This is a pretty serious exaggeration; I bring up complaints sometimes. Sometimes there's a string of 'em. Sometimes it's quiet for a week.

However, my essential complaint -- genuine, willful, abuse of power, and no real process for dealing with it -- hasn't changed since LouisBooth first decided that he was going to delete my posts from the CO forums because he didn't think I was a real Christian.

Individual abusers tend to go away... after a year or more of flagrant abuses.

The underlying problem is still there, and not much has happened on it.

seebs, I like and respect you. My intentions here, (even if misguided), are of a helpful nature. That's all.
I do appreciate that.

I think CF is solidly above average for internet BBSs. I think IIDB works out better, although part of that is the much easier goal.

But it's not, in my opinion, enough for CF to just be above average. "Be perfect, as your father in Heaven is perfect." We are called to strive, not for "as good as other people", or even for "better than other people", but for perfection.

I know we won't get there. I know we won't even come close in an absolute sense.

But I won't stop pushing just because we're doing okay. We can do better. We can do way better. Doing better would be a real witness for the faith. If people came to CF, saw that it was really well-run, and came away wondering how it is that the Christians can run such a great BBS... That'd be something.

I was going to mention this earlier. The references to scripture and how we should behave as Christians, is ambiguous at best. Different Christians have differing beliefs on scripture and how to live the Christian walk. Also, references to scripture or Christianity, exclude all who aren't Christians or read the Bible. Since the discussion participants are of the full spectrum, I think we should discuss this topic in a secular manner.

What say you, seebs?

I must remember that next time I get banned from CF I do it for a cause like "excessive ice cream causing obesity" rather than anything as unpopular as "permanant skin marking by ******'s"
