Wow! Just Wow! I never thought about it that way. Where did the savior idea come from then? Certainly Marcion depicted a sage, and relied on Paul for the savior aspect, so the sage aspect must be later. Or, well, maybe not, if they had somehow been separated and then later rejoined by Marcion. I'm thinking this won't stand against even a rusty butterknife, much less occams blade. Right? So the savior preceded the sage.
