Is there evidence to show that man and dinosaurs existed at the same time?
Creationist websites are asserting that this is so. I just wanted to know if their information was accurate or skewed to show a young earth theory. Namely they point to fossil footprints of dinosaurs and man in the Paluxy River bed in Glen Rose, Texas. Thanks! |

No.
Those "footprints" have been explained as being eroded footprints of a dinosaur, I believe, and they didn't look remotely like human footprints from what I saw anyway. |

Actually, dinosaurs and man did co-exist. And still do. The dinosaurs are mostly real small nowadays, though, as well as being utterly lacking in teeth.

Though those damn ostriches are still bigger than me.
The Paluxy tracks have been long debunked, as have all arguments for a young earth. |

I've been to Paluxy and I can honestly say that some of the tracks are of human feet and were made by humans. I've seen them.
Humans with hammers & chisels. Vandalizing dino tracks and carving fake human ones is a cottage industry among the Christians of Paluxy. |

A Clovis spearpoint is probably much harder to insert convincingly into the right strata. But perhaps they are already working on that.

Dinosaurs do exist alongside man.
I saw some myself last year when I visited the Natural History Museum in London. Oh... sorry... you meant dinosaurs that were still alive... Nevermind then. |

What about the Inca burial stones which depicted realistic carvings of Dinosaurs? How would the Incas know what a Dinosaur looked like?
What about the Dinosaur figurines from Acambaro Mexico? How would they be able to fashion a figurine of a creature they never saw? What about the Doheny Expedition to the Hava Supai Canyon where they found a pictograph of a dinosaur on the side of the cave walls? How would those Indians know what a dinosaur looked like unless they had seen one? Do a google search on any three of these. You will find a plethora of information on the web. |
