I've lasted at RR for over a year now, with almost 400 posts (under a different name than here).. that is much longer than most Catholics last there.. In fact, I think I've witnessed more Catholics banned than atheists in my tenure there.. usually for "mocking God."
If you're a non-Christian, they will try to keep you in the apologetics forum.. On several occasions, I've been told not to participate any longer in threads outside of apologetics, but they don't seem to care anymore when I post in the political & breaking news forums. But I really don't spend much time at RR anymore.. the place probably has a higher percentage of certifiable lunatics than the average insane asylum.. and that can get frustrating. Anyway, my advice if you don't want to get banned is, just don't be an asshole. |

Do you think that, when such people deconvert, they look back upon their RR posts and realise how retarded they sound?

Over a period, I watched someone on RR go through the process of deconversion. She started out a saved, born-again christian who was genuinely seeking the truth, and through her discussions in apologetics, she eventually deconverted . . . and was promptly banned. |

She also fell in love and went to Scotland to be with MartinM, perhaps the most prominent atheist RR-er at the time. Boy, I wish I could see the look on some of their faces when they found out. For my money, Rom831 (who I haven't seen post in a while) was the #1 RR poster all time: Quote:
