Probably been asked before, but I'm curious what BC&H folks think.

There's some question as to whether he married or not. Also the whole Mary Magdelene thing. But cetainly it would have unusual for him not to marry by the age of 30, no? But he's also recorded as going off into the desert with a disciple or two, was it just to "pray"? And what about John, the disciple that "Jesus loved'? Or maybe he was bi-sexual? Or an early advocate of free love? |

There actually is extra-Biblical evidence that Jesus may have been gay:

There is insufficient evidence to say much, if anything, about an Historical Jesus if such an individual existed. Speculation about sexual orientation and other personal matters is just that, pure speculation not worthy of serious academic consideration.

Jesus may have been written to love everyone (altho he was hard on those stupid Pharisees) but he did have his obvious favorites. |
