Hi,
I am looking for articles documenting what is sometimes considered "human - only" behavior, shown by animals. Particulary: - artifical self adoring (with shiny things, collected feathers, ...) to attract sexual partner, compared to human makeup and jewels. - killing other animals "for fun", eg. when not nescessary for food or in defense Thanks |

I've heard that cats and orcas can sometimes kill other animals for "fun".

There is one thing that came to my mind: crows collecting shiny items. But it appears to be "false positive":

Perhaps, but "fruits that look like apples" can make sense, well sort of...

My point is collecting some data that demonstrate how much humans have in common with non-human animals, especially in areas which are often attributed solely to humans. I hear claims like "only humans kill when they don't have to" pretty often, and would like to counter it with some solid data.

Both bonobos and dolphins have sex for reasons other than procreation.
