I'll vote for Mageth. I really like his writing style. Smart, funny and usually dead on.

Oh yeah, Oolon's right up there too. Everything you've wanted to know about biology but were affraid to ask.

Cool

To me GRDs superstar heretics are: Mageth, Biff the unclean, Godless Wonder, King Rat, Gothic_J, Silent Dave, Doctor X; and over in Philosophy and EoG, and among the Mods the scholarly, level headed, Peter Kirby.

Between them they are and must make theists really

I am mostly a lurker, but I really enjoy these boards and the posts by all the people listed so far in this thread. Hard to pick favorites, but Mageth, Biff, and DM definitely are at the top of my list.

I, too, would say Oolon . I have learned so much from his postings in the last few months.

And on the funny side, I'd have to nominate Oxidizing Material . Some of the threads he's started have made me laugh so hard I peed my pants!

(Where's a blushing emoticon when you need one?)

Thanks, QoS and everyone else who's mentioned me.

My favorite non-theist posters? I've got a lot of "favorites", but here's a short list:

QoS - for her always entertaining posts, and the fact that she's a good person (and friend) as well (I really miss our Austin get-togethers).

Koy - for his textual dynamite.

Oolon and RufusAtticus - for their clarity and knowledge in explaining scientific (and other) matters (there's a bunch more in the E/C and S&S fora that deserve mention, too). I've learned a lot from them.

ps418 (patrick) - when he posts something, trust me; there's a lot of research behind it.

Vorkosigan - what more to say?

tronvillain - kicks ass

And a few old-timers I always liked a lot and miss having around:

Ender - hasn't posted in over a year. Hard-hitting, biting posts, but on matters philosophy and logic hard to beat.

SingleDad

Mad Kally

And a couple that are no longer with us, but were always among my favorites:

MadMordigan

Stan the Beachbum - "Interests: Reading, the beach, annoying theists"
