I've been trying to explain that the Bible is a whole anthology of seperate books therfore a clai mto being God's word in one has no bearing on another book. Likewise, an accurate prophesy in Isaiah has no bearing on the text of GMark.

Go explain this to them.

That is up for debate, even if it were a series of books, they are still contained inside one book, your christian bible, and that is all part of the christian belief system, just as the qu'ran is one book together, but part of the islamic belief system. You are only really saying that the system's beliefs agree with each other, that is a circular arguement. After all, that is the religion's point, is to select books to have in agreement with each other.

That would be the religion's purpose and that is what you would claim, that they all agree, but in reality they do not.

I guess I can't have New York then. Oh well, at least we still nominally own Canada, Australia and several inconsequential islands...
