A friend forwarded me a chain email the other day and asked for my response to it which I provided. The email was of the "Did You Know?" variety and mentioned how the Ten Commandments were inscribed on various Federal Buildings or walls, etc. For instance, it mentioned that the US Supreme Court building has statues of various law givers and they are all facing the one in the middle which is a statue of Moses holding the Ten Commandments.
Well, there are many things to say about the above and the guy accepted my rebuttal as more than sufficient to the email. I'm just curious about another angle, however, and perhaps some of you might be able to help me out. Are any of you aware of any statues of Pagan gods on any Federal building or perhaps you know of some Scripture from religions other than Christianity which are etched on a Federal Building (Secular inscriptions will suffice as well)? Also, much is often made of the slogan "In God We Trust" on our currency. Are you aware of any Pagan symbols or such on any US currency (of course, "God" on the currency could very well mean "Vishnu")? What about that pyramid with the eye? Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. |

No one minds pagan symbols, only Christian symbols because Christianity is the last religion standing... I take that back. Christianity has been toppled, too. The ACLU types just don't realize it yet. If they did, they'd lighten up. In fact, that's how we'll know when Christianity is culturally dead, when no one cares anymore what the hell we do or say. We're almost there now. I'd give it another 20 years. -- Albert the Traditional Catholic |
