Default Jobe Martin

Anyone know anything about him?

Here's his bio on AIG.

The reason I ask is that I'm in the middle of a debate with a creationist here and apparently 'nightstalker' has studied under him and knows his family some what intimately.

In any event, I'm curious Dr. Jobe Martin employ's the same arguments that most other creationists use-or if there is something I should look for. Also, after having his anti-evolution arguments torn down, nightstalker is apparently going to post arguments pro creation, which should be interesting. In any event, I'm posting this here to ask if anyone's ever heard of Dr. Jobe Martin and/or read his books and if so, what am I in store for?

Thanks,

Neither of the links to his "work" (a book and a video) are live, so AiG hasn't been maintaining his glop. The "Dr." is in dentistry, surely qualifying him to speak with authority on any topic at all.

A Google on his name turns up this site describing his video, which seems to be a llot of "wowie zowie that sure looks like it had to be designed" kind of stuff. There are some moldie oldies (bombardier beetle), and a bunch of other standard animals. I suspect you'll get a lot of "Show me how this evolved! kind of BS. His bio refers to his "medical and scientific training," which is a stretch: see above, dentistry.

I believe I've heard him referred to as a former atheist who turned to God after seeing the wonders of Creation and the literally thousands of millions of peer reviewed scientifc papers which support the Biblical account.

No, of course not. There are literally thousands of YEC PhD scientists publishing masses of evidence literally every month in the peer reviewed litrature that supports the biblical account of creation.

Absolutely! And Santa Claus lives in my garage. My morning paper is delivered by leprechauns. And Dubya has a brain. :Cheeky:

The key phrase here is: "...in the peer reviewed literature that supports the biblical account of creation." This, of course, still isn't mainstream science. If there are such papers in mainstream journals I haven't seen them, nor have I seen any creationists cite them!

Well, if Jesus turned water into wine, could your catalytic converter do less?

They don't? It must be a miracle!
