im not seeing the connection between roger pearse's post and the letter of mara barsarapion. it is not mentioned in his link either.

Clearly there is some confusion. You asked about the manuscripts containing the letter of Mara Bar Serapion. My post is an answer to that question -- the letter is a literary text, and was preserved by copying like all other literary texts. A copy reached us in a single ms, in the British Library.
