Over at The Trilogy Release Page, though Bungie still retains the copyright. Yes, Bungie had made a notable first-person shooter before Halo.
It may look rather antique, but it has a remarkable backstory told in the texts of the terminals that you visit; check out the Marathon Story Page. I've half-thought of turning that story into fan fiction; I've written the first bit of it so far. The app files are for Mac Classic; for OSX-native, Windows, and Linux versions, check out Aleph One, the Marathon Open Source project. I have been a major contributor to that project. After Mihai Parparita got the source code runnable, I: * Fixed several bugs and lifted several internal limits * Added an XML-based configuration system * Added OpenGL support for higher-quality rendering * Added support for loading image files to make high-quality textures * Added support for 3D-model inhabitants * Added support for animated wall textures * Etc. There's a lot that I did not do, however, and which I must thank my collaborators for doing, like: * SDL support (for non-Mac platforms like Windows and Linux) * Internet-capable networking |

Nice work. I've read the Marathon story page before, and it doesn't sound bad at all.
