To Mark - thanks for welcoming me to the board. You are a Veteran and I thank U.
Every question asked by a human is answered by a human. No mystery that looking within is the basis for understanding the many a question of out.... A human who postulates for example positivism, confidence, ambition, drive, empathy, altruism, antipathy, hope, love as human natural laws - To an individual who does not want to believe U, to be sure, will argue that such human attributes are not natural, subjective or lacking in scientific method. The same goes for GOD. You must tune in to get it - b/c if you do regardless of any F/in religion or lack thereof - GOD will recognize U dialing him in! Eagle Eye |

So exactly what 'tuning in' (other than actually presuming the existence of God) is required for me to see the truth of theism?

And I guess the many ex-believers who spent many years trying to tune him in weren't on the right channel.

GOD does not demand unnaturalness from human thinking to tune in. It is simply a subject that pays the most dividends...............Period. It is simple stupid - GOD is not out to make it difficult... GOD despises perfect, he hopes that U keep GOD to yourself, no promulgation to friends needed, no change as prerequisite asked - GOD is Your mind's best friend - FOREVER n E n E n E..Fact.

I don't know what 'unnatural human thinking' is, but I'll repeat my question: What kind of 'tuning in' is required for one to see the truth of theism?
If it's so easy then why don't you tell us how you know of His existence? And if you're supposed to keep it to yourself, then what on earth are you doing discussing it here?? |

Dear Spacemonkeyadb,
Tuning in is an act of volition, so ask "I mean ask" for it.... Then be short term patient...... Now, if you dismiss for whatever reason - I sincerely don't blame you Friend.. Eagle Eye |

Who said GOD was Logical. Who said GOD inspires us to make points - erudite humans such as yourself may understand. Tell me how GOD is logical?

Plenty of people have 'asked for it' only to find a complete absence of good rational reasons for believing in God. What is the difference between asking for it and really really asking for it? And how does the volitional act of really wanting to find him have any bearing on the validity of the available evidence? Do the woefully inadequate arguments of natural theology suddenly and magically become logically sound? And why should we have to even ask in the first place? Why does your God so love this cosmic game of hide and seek?
Ever consider the possibility that really really 'asking for it' requires really really wanting it to be true, and that this can eventually result in the acceptance of things that one really has no rational reason to believe? |
