Not quite - too many scriptures. Monotheistic doesn't quite work, technically xianity with a trinity aint monotheistic (not withstanding the weird math)!

Mods - blasphemous comment!

Isn't it funny how atheists can tolerate Islam (which cuts people's heads off) and can tolerate Catholicism (which used to cut people's heads off) but can't tolerate true Christianity or even "Evangelical Fundamentalists" whose most radical view is perhaps that a woman should wear long hair (oh, how radical!)

Why is that? Why level all their insults at Jesus and let Mohammed off the hook? Because they know deep within their hearts that Jesus did live on this earth, did die on the cross, was resurrected, and is God and that Mohammed never really lived and is a worthless piece of nothing. Atheists know it, or else, they wouldn't level all their attacks on Jesus. And what else does it prove about them that they attack peace and love but let a religion of pure racist murderism be honored? And the atheistic news media can't ever mention the name Mohammed by itself but always must say "The Prophet Mohammed" whereas the never say "Jesus the Son of God"--they are just like the Muslims themselves and are worshipping Satan under the name Mohammed, worshipping all evil and all abomination and everything unholy and wortheless and immoral.

As long as we're handing out demerits for what people used to do, I'm sure it was just an oversight that you neglected to cite this vile antisemitic screed written by one of the founders of Protestantism. More recently, one might cite all the good Protestant Nazis who killed Jews Mondays through Saturdays, then went to church on Sunday, where they could listen to the soothing words of their ministers, several of whom were members of the Einsatzgruppen.

But I digress.

Xianity is logically focussed on in an american based board that's language is English because I think you will find the vast majority of English speakers have a xian background or had some contact with missionaries and colonial english schools. India is the major exception, but even there the influence of the British Raj was very significant - technically, Britain can be seen as a colonial outpost of India now!

I have great difficulty with Islam because it is not English - look at the threads, it is the equivalent issue as Greek is in BCH!

There probably is though a strong argument for a separate area about Islam.

As a defense of atheist timidity in criticising Islam, this is not very good, is it?

All the best,

Atheists do not tolerate any of the above. We have lived with it, and still may do so. Which is why we apply a jaundiced eye, a wary disposition and no naivety with regard to your 'most radical view'. People of my persuasion are under threat of death, traditionaly from Christians and currently from Islamists. One need only attend the current media to ascertain the reality of these threats. Do you suppose that we may not take such a threat seriously?

You Sir demonstrate a simple point, which, for all the sophistry of 'certain others', is nonetheless at the core of many debates on this forum.

You can see quite clearly the utter worthlessness of the Islamic claim. You are willing to dismiss Mohammed as a fraud, and no doubt Krishna, Buddha, (Rev Moon), etc as complete tosh in the divine stakes. Tedious of me to go on and mention Apollo, Zeus, Mithra...... they are all 'old hat'.

The non Christian gods are all nonsense. Not a BC&H rigorous argument, but containing a considerable probabilistic presentiment.

Jesus is however the one, sole, alone of his kind, hero pattern - exception.:devil1:

Most here are either an agnostic or an atheist and therefore do not care for any religion, however, most criticism is leveled at christianity, and frequently fundamentalism, because that is the religion that most of us live with. They are here every day, changing the laws, screwing around with politics and so on. Naturally they are the most common target. Also, people who post here are generally most knowledgable about christianity. I, for example, know next to nothing about Islam having never lived near it nor known anyone who was a muslim.

So, as you can see, your post is a wrong as it is silly. You really should give us the benefit of the doubt...

Your post contains numerous logical fallcies and bizarre notions, such as 'atheistic media,' atheists honoring 'pure racist muderism' and more such twaddle.
