I wouldn't want to claim that all self-proclaimed Xians are like that, but that seems depressingly common among Xian apologists.

Compare Holocaust denial, which is a favorite Nazi apologetic -- it's saying that the Nazis are not so bad as commonly supposed, that they had not committed genocide.

By comparison, that common Xian apologetic is a defense of genocide, often involving the claim that the victims were so evil that they deserved it -- much like what the Nazis had believed about Jews.

Yes, "genocide" is a strong word, but what else can one call what's commanded in Deuteronomy 7, which commands the total extermination of the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites?
