Keep it brief. People who get stopped by the bell (or worse, won't) are an utter pain to listen to.

How many pages of written text is appropriate to base a presentation on? I currently have 6 pages, but its really condensed and doesn't exactly explain the full thesis.

I assume that in the presentation you can use Power Point? I think I could do a much better job simply with just Power Point slides and running through some things.

About 20 double spaced pages -- figuring it takes about a minute to present each page.

Yes. But remember that loading each image also takes time.

But right now what you need to be focusing on is the paper itself -- that it's scholarly enough and that it isn't something that's already been said before (have you checked?), so that it impresses the coordinators of the section you are submitting to. You can worry about timing and the technical aspects of presentation later.

Oh, 20 pages, good, that's fine, that's much easier than the 6-10 I was trying to fit.

Well, whatever length you make it, run, don't walk, to your local bookstore/library and get a hold of a copy of Beale and Carson's Commentary on the New Testament Use of the Old Testament (or via: amazon.co.uk) and read closely Rikk Watt's entry on Mark's use of the OT -- as well as the bibliography at the end of it. Papers that show no acquaintance/engagement with what's already been written on the subject that you want to deal with in your paper will not be accepted.
