Default Scientific Reading - Dawkins

In an effort to educate myself as much as possible, I have begun reading, upon recommendation of some here in the forum, THE BLIND WATCHMAKER.

I find this easy to read compared to some others I've tried. Dawkins seems so far to be a master at explaining.

I have always wondered how complexities could be explained without the aid of a "designer" and he seems from the beginning to address why people are so inclined to believe this way.

I would like comments from anyone else who has read this book. Am I on the right track to try to satisfy my questions about illusions of design?

Thanks in advance.

Yep. And if you're at all familiar with the bog-standard design arguments (irreducible complexity, complex specified information etc) but not with the refutations, "Finding Darwin's God" by Kenneth Miller might be a useful next step.

Yes you are - but read his other books as well, especially "Climbing Mount Improbable".

If it's evolution that you're interested in, the E/C Forum has a list of recommended resources.
