They are nice icons but can't find them.

Fact is, to Bethlehem the ass is led as if by tradition (hence bethrothed to a virgin from Nazareth is right) while into the New Jerusalem both the Old and the New must be mounted by the ridder (knight).

It follows from the fall of man wherein our return to Eden requires the complete surrender of our faculty of reason.

May I add that Jesus will never be the same OT Yahweh but was another Lord God-in-becoming that crystallized when he was raised and was confirmed with the exclamation of Thomas "my Lord and my God" when all doubt was removed.

So two Gods then?

Wasn't it Paul who started off this whole ''fools for Christ'' bit of deviancy?
Why should we take any notice of him? Besides, in your statement you are using a form of inverted perverted logic, and therefore reason, to try and persuade us why we have to surrender reason;-so you have not yet abandoned it yourself.

I had hoped to avoid burdening Elsewhere with this, but if you are going to keep responding, it's going down to the basement.

It is inspired, yes, to be a forshadow of things to come in the life of adults.

Now Santa Claus is a perversion of St. Nicholas by people who have lost sight of this eternal truth. I have several posts on this but it amounts to this saint being as omni as God but is for children only. It is celebrated on Dec.6 after his arrival is awaited in fear and trembling to foreshadow Advent, Christ-mas and subsequent Epiphany when gifts are received.

How odd, i could swear i read somewhere that religious historians and experts in folklore never found much evidence for the idea of St. Nicholas being a real person, much less an original construct. IIRC, the idea is that he is basically a fabrication, or at least the result of taking bits from myths about Posideon, Neptune and another god whose name i can't recall right now.

So they lied, i guess, if i'm supposed to take Chili's word for it.
