Default Coincidence or Divine attention grabbing?

Well, yesterday, I was talking with a family member about Messianic Judaism. She doesn't know a whole lot about it, so I asked God to show her what it's about. Freakishly enough, today, she calls me at work and says, on channel 2, there is a Messianic Jew who is a university professor and is giving a documentary on what it is, and what the OT teaches about the Messiah.

Considering I've never even seen Messianic Judaism mentioned on TV, and yet to have it come on the day after I was talking about it and asking God to show something to my family member, and a program on it comes on.

That seems just a little too freakishly coincidental, even for me.

(Disclaimer: Please don't turn this thread into the merits or lack therefore of Messianic Judaism - that isn't what this is about - none of that Southern Baptist stuff).

How many times have you decided it would be good for someone to know more about something, and the very next day nothing happens?

I know it's quite a few for me.

I often get feelings that I'm about to receive phone calls before I recieve them. Lots of times I know who's calling before I check the caller id. It must be a miracle...

They usually set the TV schedules a long time in advance, don't they?

Sometimes I think about a song and then it gets played on the radio

I'm still trying to figure how to get this to work for my lottery numbers.

Sometimes I think that the Southern Baptists antisemitic "Messianic Judaism" program is so asinine that it couldn't possibly fool anyone...but I'm always wrong

Messianic Judaism? Sounds like an oxymoron to me, far as I know either you're born Jewish or you're not...and if a Jew becomes a member of another religion, they're still considered a Jew but not a part of the Jewish community. So really, if an actual Jewish person became a "Messianic" then really they just converted to Christianity, and they might as well be honest that that's all they did. As for anybody else wanting to join Messianic Judaism...that just leaves me scratching my head and thinking "huh?"

So yeah, I'll add that to my list of "oxymorons for your consideration."

Apparently, a lot of people about a week ago were telling their friends "hey, wouldn't it be great if the Middle East erupted in violence again?"

I do believe I put the disclaimer that the merits of Messianic Judaism weren't the point here, but Messianic Judaism isn't in the least bit oxymoronic. What do you think the Apostles were? Christian? Christianity didn't exist yet. A Messianic Jew is one who was born a Jew by Jewish law, or has converted to Judaism, maintains the traditions and teachings of the Jews, and believes that Y'Shua is the prophecised Messiah.

Messianic Judaism is acknowledged in Israel, and is growing pretty fast. I don't see where the Oxymoronic part comes in. Why can't you be born a Jew, follow the Jewish tradition and heritage as the Apostles did, and still be a follower of Y'shua? Just because orthodox Jews don't?

Programs are scheduled weeks prior to the day they are shown. If the program was not scheduled and "all-of-a-sudden-just-appeared" rather than another program, one might have the idea that there was s scheduling mistake, happens all the time. I tell my DVR to record show A while they actually run Show B.

But ofcourse when all you have is a hammer (God) then everything looks like a nail (prayer answered).
