Sending large files through yousendit.com has worked really great for me.

I'm sorry, I forgot there's a 100MB file size limit with a free account on yousendit. Could he somehow split the files and send them separately? I'm not on Windows, so I can't recommend any freeware.

Not freeware, but ubiquitous, if one has WinRAR, the large file can be selected to be added to an archive, opening a dialog box which gives the option to split the file. You'd just supply a volume size of say 90000000 to create two files both under 90mb.

(I don't recommend using torrents unless for popular items and one can often find the items one wants for download via other means.)

Just go ahead and submit an email address to YouSendIt and start a free 14 day trial. The pro version allows you to send very large files (easily up to 1 GB) and they have a third, more powerful version for larger files and faster uploading. RAR your files.
