I have a pending question to them on whether their non-theist requirement is instantaneous or not. If I'm in a depressive trough, it's reasonably accurate to describe me as a non-theist... I think the intent is probably broad, but I have no idea how much they care, or what they would do if a member converted to a religion after joining.

It is a private atheist site. You must be nominated by an existing member and be approved by the administrator.

Nominations are not required. As it says on the front page linked to above, "the sole requirement for membership in Heathen Hangout is absence of belief in God".
