It's not my message. Jesus said it,...not me.

Were you there when Jesus said it? No. You listen to a gaggle of preachers, and read an old book that SAYS he said it, and repeat it like a parrot repeating "Pieces of Eight, Pieces of Eight" If Jesus wants to hear a message, let him come here and say it himself. I won't try to stop him.

Hello JesusFollower :wave:
Welcome to the Mad-House ... while most of the inmates are harmless use caution .... just bear in mind that while we all share the same reality ... we do not share the same view of that reality ...

Not sure but when I saw the reference to the Evil / Wicked Step-Mom I thought it was most fitting as many consider Jesus to be Myth (Legend) covered reality ....

You've missed the point, probably intentionally. Chong was satirizing the replacement of one addiction with another. It was part of a comedy routine on a vinyl record album (not sure which one - "Big Bambu," "Los Cochinos," etc.) in the late 1960's to early 1970's, and the comedy team of Cheech and Chong was a big part of what was known as the drug culture. That substitution which was satirized is comically illustrated with arguments such as the one you tried to make.

But I suppose you'll take any kind of encouragement from wherever it comes, regardless whether it actually supports your position.

There you go blaming Jesus again. Jesus didn't say it; somebody told somebody else what they'd heard about some bloke called Jesus, and what he was supposed to have said, and they decided to write it down.

This how the new testament came to be.

Honestly, you Christians make me sick!

I can see that you totally missed the point of H. C. Andersen's The Emperors New Clothes, so i will lay it out for you here in detail.

CAST
====

Emperor - JesusFolllower
Emperors New Clothes - God
People on the street - Christians
Little boy - Me

Now, reread the story and substitute the characters above into the story and you'll understand what H. C. Andersn tried to say.
