I think it's wrong to expel the girl, but think about this situation:

A boy is kicked out of a Jewish school because his parents are skinheads... Not the best analogy... Christian Identity does not accept nonwhites and Christianity opposes homosexuality, that's the way life is, A big sour *itch.

Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

Funny. I don't think all of Christianity does any such thing. The United Church of Christ, for one, welcomes homosexual people and acts to prevent discrimination against them.

The school had a written policy against parental behaviour "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life style..."
The parents read that policy when they signed the paperwork to enroll their child.
The parents violated that policy.
The family was excluded from the school.
What's the problem?

It's a private institution. They have every right to make rules. I don't care if they make a rule that only children w/red hair, or at least one immediate family member w/red hair, can attend their school, they can do it.
And if you sign something agreeing to play by their rules, and they find out that not only is little Barbara Jean actually a natural blonde, so is everyone else in the family, than they have every right to expel little Barbie from their school.

They also had an obligation to the parents who enrolled their children into the school, agreed and stuck to the agreement, and expected the other families to do the same. You can't bend the rules for one family, w/out bending them for all. Even if they were so inclined, which I doubt they were.

And? Numerous Christian denominations and Christians don't think being in a monogamous homosexual relationship is "immoral or inconsistent with a positive Christian life style." If that's all it said, that's certainly not enough to warn anyone about a situation like this.

According to what I have read, the policy gave affairs and homosexuality as an example of "immoral" behaviour.

Edited b/c I can't spell worth a shit tonight.

Just thought I'd add, the part about persecution on account of Christ might not mean persecution in Jesus' name, but persecution because of Jesus.

At least that's what I made of that quote in Church and sunday school.

Funny. Search on google: Christian views homosexuality
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints welcomes polygamous people but MOST Christians do not. It's a private school, meaning only to certain members. I think excluding gays is wrong, but... it's their policy. Like the Christian Identity, of which I completely think is immoral. But... it's their policy.:banghead:

Because they wanted to make sure she became an atheist, most likely. Catholic schools seem to churn them out at a higher rate than the general population.
