Revelation.

It was instrumental in my deconversion; I read it aged about 12 and it a) gave me nightmares and b) got me asking questions. Awkward questions as it turned out.

What a revelation! (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

J-D, traditionally one messenger was sent to destroy Sodom and the other to save Lot et al. (The other messenger completed his mission when he told Abraham and Sarah of the future birth of their son.) Hence the belief that each angel is created for a specific mission.

Exodus. It's so ludicrous a story by historical standards that it's almost funny. I'd love to make a movie comedy based on the book.

Amen to that. I started reading it to a Catholic girl my age and she somehow didn't believe me at first, especially the phrase mentioning "climbing the tree to grasp the coconuts".

I mean all this weird stuff in it about the end of the world. Of course I knew it wasn't real. But it was an entertaining read.
I like the part where Jayzuz is telling a joke about a log in someones eye. Very funny story.

He should've been a stand up comic. :Cheeky:
