Thanks, everyone. I know Sammer is a big Velikovsky nut (and also a major name in the whole movement to revise Mediterranean archaeology), but just because he is a Velikovsky man doesn't mean he is completely insane. Haran, Sammer suggested, in a speculative context, that it might refer to Jesus. That's all.
