A Mohawk challenge to the Pledge
Some good CSS stuff inside, like this tidbit:

My concern is that most people will accept a few cracks in the wall, here and there, and then say it's the price we pay for easing religious tensions. What's wrong, after all, with saying a few words like "under God" in the Pledge, or releasing students from school for religious instruction, or allowing "intelligent design" to be discussed in biology class in the interest of academic freedom? What's wrong with government reimbursing churches for their charity work in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita? What's the big deal?
The problem is that these small cracks not only add up -- leading to possible structural failure later on down the road -- but they actually are the cause of provoking further tensions -- not easing them.
After all, if you accommodate one religion, then everybody will start clamoring for equal treatment -- a situation we already see when clergy are invited to give invocations before the start of town board meetings, or when schools "acknowledge" some religious holidays during the winter season, but not others. It will also be a huge headache in the future when government starts doling out vouchers for various religious schools…

Just a good reason, IMO, to even keep up the fight on the "smaller battles."
