Celsus,

Unless you would like to have a sample to set things in motion? I would rather you have something comprehensive in December. What do you think? I appreciate Vinnie's work - maybe he could email me after he is done so that we include him and his work? (Hey "is very complex for many readers" is not part of a definition! ) Structuralism is a bit general, but perharps we could subsume it under Postmodernism/ Deconstructionism in the light of the 'we' passages and Vernon K Robbins work? Dr. Jim, comments noted. We have Documentary Hypothesis up there. |

Few corrections at first glance:
- Byzantine empire never stretched northern than Danube or Caucasus mountains, hence never encapsulated Russia, I think also it was not to deep in Arabia also and a small part of Persia. Its territory was at maximum extent: Libya, Egypt, I think a little part of the northern Arabic peninsula, Syro-Palestina, Armenia, Asia Minor, Greece, Bulgaria (Thracia), Dalmatian coast and lots of islands in the Egean and Mediteranean seas (like Cyprus, Crete, Malta) - I think aramaic tribes (west semitic language) came into history of the Near/Middle-East somewhere in the second half of II millenium BCE. A further investigation I think it's worthy. My suggestion: let's track the glossary items out to sources (or at least to offer a selective bibliography). Thus it will be better fundamented. Also talking of biblical history, I'm sure many items are controversial, and it would be nice that this glossary will show the controversial side. So, I'd like to help, as my time allows it. |

Hi Jacob,
Sorry for the delayed response. I didn't have access to IIDB until I changed my host configuration. Anyway, if you are interested in publishing this at Ebla, I think it could become an invaluable resource with added visibility. I'm happy to join in with further contributions and comments as time permits. Joel |

Your contributions will be very valuable. I have over 50 'new' words I have encountered over the past few months hence the desire to continue with this. I will be in touch. I had earlier needed your comments on some 'archaeological findings on Nazareth' but have lost track of them. |
