Actually - EVERY Muslim scholar in existence firmly believes that Jesus existed....

Some other non Christian scholars who accept the HJ are Samuel Sandmel, David Flusser, Israel Abrahams, C.G. Montifiorre, and Ernst Bammel.

Actually I was just thinking the other day of how people say x 'is' y, and how we need to jump on that whenever we see it as sloppy thinking, so apologies if anyone got the backwash from that.

Hi mens sana,

It seems to me that Claremont's School of Theology is one of the best and most up to date. Many other theological schools are positively medieval in outlook.

Sounds rather like Burton Mack had a HJ in mind, does it not? By the way, for many years Burton Mack taught at the Southern California School of Theology at Claremont, latterly known as the Claremont School of Theology. This is the same school that hired the young James M. Robinson of Nag Hammadi Library fame — and it is my alma mater.
