I would suggest that you take your own advice before making such blatantly silly generalizations about atheists. |

You are usually or always unwilling to discuss God's motives, when in fact, if a God exists, his motives are everything. You are quite mistaken if you believe that reasonably proving that a God inspired the Bible provides a rational basis for people to become Christians. |

Fake communists.
Can you really not see how ridiculous that sounds? Prove to me that communists aren't misinterpreting the Communist Manifesto and that capitalists aren't "true communists." You can't do it. I'll just claim superiority and scoff at you for being fake. |

Ridiculous are all those people who fail to see that the NT represents a completely degenerate , unoriginal, subverted, corrupted form of Christianity, and that original Christianity was much more of a syncretic hellenic philosophy of religion

Notice that Jesus was never addressed as Christ in any of the 4 gospels until after resurrection except by the keen insight of Peter who represents faith in being the twin of doubt and therefore was called rock of the new religion. So now, to be a Christian is not to be other than what we truly are and that very much excludes going to church and wanting anything including going to heaven. |

I believe that the yardstick that, in fact, was being used whether or not an idea conforms to the societal values of the late 20th century USA. But of course if you think that you have some other yardstick, produce it... I tend to find that atheists are very bad at analysing their own positions, tho. All the best, Roger Pearse |
