 A point too often missed by otherwise "intelligent" people.

Duck are one of the few types of birds to have a penis. I just thought I'd add that because most bird sex involves quick cloaca to cloaca contact.

The cloaca is that single multipurpose(sex, defecation, egg-laying) hole that birds, lizards and monotremes have.

A small, but significant group of scientists theorize that the genes that code for this form of "primitive sexuality" remain dormant within the human population but are "switched off" in most individuals. In certain cases, these genes can be reactivated and when this happens, the retrograde characteristics are expressed in the phenotype. The same thing goes for those poor humans who are born with tails. So it's not really an example of "human like behaviour in animals". A better definition would be "animal like behaviour in humans" since it is an example of a higher evolved animal regressing into a more primitive state.
Mythology in all its pseudoscientific splendor... specially the bold parts.

Aren't you aware of the pain involved in loosing virginity? (both vaginal and anal)... of how sexual conquests is a sign of human social power and dominance? I wonder if people only watch Disney.
There is one big difference though. In humans, such pain is generally considered to be undesirable and most people will try to remove it or lessen it. The insects that hurt each other when having sex do it purposely and incorporate it into their sex lives. There are some people who like to incorporate pain into their sex lives on purpose just like the insects do. I have nothing against these people, and I respect all forms of sexual diversity.
But I thought it might also be interesting from an evolutionary perspective.
