			Fact or fiction?

I have a Christian trying to tell me that there is a lot of evidence for Jesus' Resurrection, and that people were apparantly put to death (who could've gotten out of death if they merely said "Jesus wasn't resurrected") for it (he linked me to this: http://www.kensmen.com/catholic/eusebius.html ). Basically, what I'm wondering is which direction do the facts point? Oh and he (like the typical closed-minded fool) ignored the fact that bible accounts of the resurrection are contradictory. |

Richard Carrier is a professional historian and has examined every aspect of that claim in these essays: Why I Don't Buy the Resurrection Story

There is no real evidence of this. There is no known physical evidence that Jesus ever existed in the first place.

I doubt they would really be able to give you any real proof, even if they strech the truth. |

Besides, it is unlikely that anyone was put to death who could have gotten out of it by saying that Jesus wasn't resurrected. More likely they could have gotten out of it by performing a pagan ritual and sacrificing to the emperor or the Roman gods. But the Romans didn't care if anyone was resurrected or not - lots of people were "resurrected" in those days. And Eusebius is not the most reliable source. |

look at it from a logical point of view, no facts given or recieved: It is IMPOSSIBLE to ressurect from the dead. Most bible stories involving "miracles" are simply either made up, or exaggerated.

tell the christian to look at it like i do. Tell him/her to pretend to be a third party aithest looking at religion. Tell him/her to look at it as a false hope. That cannot be scientificly explained.

http://www.sciencefriday.com/pages/1...r2_062797.html As you listen to the program, note the parallels between Roswell and Jesus’ “resurrection? from the dead. Regards, Don |
