Wow Jesus has made almost 200 subsequent appearance all over the world
http://www.share-international.org/maitreya/Ma_wwa.htm You gotta to love that magically appearing Jesus. The 500 may have seen Jesus the same way Paul saw Jesus - in a dream, but the Jesus who appears in relation to the Maitreya movement appeared in broad daylight on a crowded stage and preaches to everyone. This seems much more reliable then the Jesus that Paul saw in his visions and dreams. --------------------- 1 Cor should be presumed a forgery because there is no evidence that its not; otherwise 1 Cor 15:6 should be presumed an interpolation because there is no evidence that its not; otherwise 1Cor should be presumed to be fictional stories that Paul made up because there is not evidence that its not. Even if 1Cor 15:6 were written by Paul as a letter, Paul is not reliable. Paul could not tell the difference between fantasy and reality, because he would believe things without evidence. He may have just believed that 500 saw Jesus without any evidence indicating that its true. Whatever Paul says is useless as evidence of anything because Paul did not need evidence to believe anything. If Paul wanted to believe that 500 was Christ than he just believed it and then he tells us that its true. What is the evidence that Paul is talking about Jesus of Nazareth - maybe they saw another Christ in their dreams. |

Which Paul? The one that was blinded to reality? Now, if a person never saw Jesus at all, how would he know what Jesus looked like in his dreams. Now, would you believe me if I said I just saw Jesus in my dreams and he looked exactly like the Jesus the letter writers saw? He was dead. |

When questioned about the details of such encounters the tale-tellers at first start to add (read invent) more and more details. I always got a kick out of asking as many questions as I could get away with, to see just how far it would go before even they finally had to realise how ridiculous their claims had became. (well at least some of them did- ) I was polite and never argued, or openly expressed any doubts about their "testifying". Some might note the past tense that I'm using, it is not so easy to find family "victims" anymore. Shoot! just when I was learning how to really have fun too. |
