This is not the place to discuss policy. Please direct your outrage to the Ask an Officer forum.

In the meantime, I have bumped a thread on Tacitus, and this thread has reached its natural end.

I don't see an Ask an Officer forum. I see an Ask an Administrator forum. Is that the one you mean?

This has now become a private exchange on a public thread -- untenable. If those who are "in" around here wish to discuss Spin's blog, let them give full quotes from the blog whenever and wherever they reference it. Otherwise, TAKE IT PRIVATE. I said I'm not letting this go, and I meant it.

Spin has every right to decide who reads his blog and who doesn't so long as its contents are not a matter of public discussion. In this case, not only are its contents evidently a matter of public discussion, it was Spin himself who put it there. This is why any further public discussion of this private matter is an abuse of this thread, an abuse of this board, and an abuse of closed-out posters like Avi and others, until everyone posting in this thread -- repeat, everyone -- can participate.

Either quote all -- all -- pertinent sections of the blog whenever posters of the inner priesthood choose to post publicly on this matter here, or make the blog accessible to all -- all -- who participate in this thread, or TAKE THIS PRIVATE.

Those others here who feel the same about this should also speak out, now, against this patent abuse. It is past time for everyone to challenge it.

And here we have yet another historical (hysterical) Jesus meltdown. Why are you guys killing yourselves with this shit?

Some one should compile all the HJ meltdowns that have happened here into a book.

It has ultimately less to do with Jesus, and more to do with bogus history and the need to challenge that. Why do we challenge fundies?

Yes, it was renamed since I last paid attention to it.

The issue of private blogs came up before. I don't recall the rationale, but if spin has you on ignore, you can't see his blog, and he can't see your protests about him referencing it.

Sometimes because of our own egos and our own need to make a spectacle of ourselves.

There are more or less effective ways to challenge fundies. Getting up on a soap box and shouting "fundy fundy" is not necessarily the best way to go about it.

I thought we challenged fundies because they vote with their crazy religion which makes their stupidity hurt the rest of us. What policies do you fear might arise in your country if MJ'ers vote?

And just when it gets interesting. I want to know why this is so damn important.

He evidently has others like Avi on ignore, and how proper is that, to actually introduce a blog on a thread whose very participants are not all given equal access to the public topic at hand? It is an abuse of a public thread and of this board to carry on a private discussion where only some can participate and others can't. Let Spin either keep this private or make it public to those participants whom he himself has already invited by already volunteering the link right here in this thread!
