Sometimes it seems like you blindly defend senior CF staff. Me, I would openly question why they object to a "We are Family" avatar as provocational. Forgive the forced dichotomy, but is it better that regular members think staff is a loose collection of lone wolves, or a few ideological cliques?

Oh right. You just love those extreme generalizations. Just because I don't confuse the meaning of TOLERANCE with the definition of acceptance does not mean I am a Nazi.

If it is a question of correcting a false understanding of their beliefs - then I would support that defense - if it is a matter of them being able to make a case supporting thier way of thinking - that is promotion.

I pretty much defend junior staff... or more accurately, I defend those staff members that have thankless jobs that consume several hours of their day, all the while both sides of any and all issues call them "Pharisees".

As for the 'We Are Family' avatar, I think it can be safely said that I objected profusely. I think you'll find several staff members, both past and present, that would say I didn't have a problem with being opinionated. : )

I've had heated arguments and disagreements with several senior mods, admins and senior admin's.... but then I imagine we've all had those kind of interactions with our family too. Generally, we don't respect or love them less because of it, even if we fail to ever agree.

You'll find lone wolves and cliques amongst both staff and the general membership.

I wish they'd cancel my Ancient History lecture this afternoon.

But alas; i doubt we're getting a freezing rain storm at 32+ C.

The annoying part is that there's been no freezing rain. There's been no precipitation whatsoever.
