You are excused. You weren't called aggressive; the replies to your bullshit were called aggressive, because that's how we respond to bullshit. For example, to describe God's love as "unconditional" is simply dishonest, with respect to John 3:16 (believers will not perish, but have everlasting life) and John 3:18 (unbelievers are already condemned.) Why do you feel the need to lie for God?
Quote:
Wondering why you mock someone you say you are indifferent to is aggressive?
See above; nobody called you aggressive at all. The responses are, and you got exactly what you deserved.
Quote:
What in the world do you consider love? Would you feel better if I told you you are hated and you have to pay for your sins?
That's not too far off from Christianity writ large, especially considering Christian family values as commanded by Jesus in Luke 14:26. In order to be a Christian, one must hate their parents, hate their children, hate their spouses, and hate themselves. On that reason alone, I do not qualify as a Christian, because I love my family very much.
Quote:
It is you who say you do not WANT God's love.
That's not unreasonable. God is described in the Old Testament as somewhat of a paranoid, psychopathic murderer. It's generally best to avoid situations like those, much less offer love to people (or gods) like that.
Quote:
It is you who say Jesus never lived and died for your sins when ALL the evidence points to that and NOTHING points to the contrary.
Plenty points to the contrary; in fact, there's a cover story on it in this week's issue of Time Magazine.

******** SHAMELESS SELF-PLUG ********
Turn to page 81 in the April 12 issue of Time Magazine, facing the page with Dr. Phil in a milk moustache. Read the sidebar entitled "A Card That Asks For ID," on the lower right of page 81, about an IBM-patented smart card. As a Senior Business Counsel for IBM Global Services, I approved that technical disclosure to be filed for U.S. Patent. It doesn't mention my name, but I'm not kidding - I was part of the process.

Quote:
It's like someone telling you they loved you and you slam the door in his face.
No, it isn't. The existence of someone telling me they loved me is much easier to demonstrate than your God, who has a very hard time showing up to have the door slammed in his face. Further, suppose you don't love the person back, but the person insists on proving his love to you by following you everywhere and telling you as often as possible. Behavior like that is illegal, and deserves worse than a mere door slam.
Quote:
How is that MY fault?
Most likely, it's because you've already made up your mind based on very shaky justification that isn't sufficient to convince us.
Quote:
If you can't see WHO is the aggressor then you have a very twisted concept of love.
You misunderstood the target of the term "aggressive." It doesn't refer to you; it refers to the responses you've gotten, which you deserve.
Quote:
Why do you not want to believe the evidence and instead believe your imaginations instead?
Again, that's supremely ironic, because you are imagining all this evidence you think you have.
Quote:
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart , and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is slight." THAT'S aggressive?
For the fourth time, you weren't called aggressive. The responses to you were called aggressive. You're loaded for bear with nothing to shoot at. Also, the quote you've mined here is just a line of prose in a fictional story about a man who may or may not have existed, but whose divine character was certainly invented. Claims of Jesus's divinity require evidence; the claims are not evidence of themselves.

That's not entirely fair.

Arian heretics are Christians too.

{Edit}, preferring instead to travel down the weary road of promulgating pernicious proselytising and preaching.

My hat is off to the members for showing remarkable restraint in the face of such abject absurdity.

See this post for an explanation of why you are being made fun of. I doubt you will read it, as you refused to read the other post I have repeatedly linked you to, but it is there.

Could we maybe merge these five different threads started by Joyfilled? They're all the same.

I think any useful discussion this thread could produce has come and gone, and the comments are now growing increasingly personal. It is now closed.
