At least I think it's from the Bible. I've looked in the Blue Letter Bible for it but no luck. It's something like " More deadly/painful than an adder's sting is
the ------ of a ---------child."

Look to Shakespeare, King Lear (act 1, scene iv, I believe), rather than the Bible.

"How sharper than a serpents tooth it is to have a thankless child."

If it is in the bible it sounds like it would be in proverbs. Have you tried the search function at http://bible.gospelcom.net/
