Default Lost URL comparing religions

A few months ago in some unremembered forum here, an unremembered user posted a link to a site about a guy who had become an atheist or agnostic after sort of "trying out" many religions. His story involved experiencing that subjective "intense religous experience" that so many faithful talk about, but the twist was that he experienced this same thing with many different contradictory religions, and consequently ended up concluding that it was all in his head. He went into much more detail than what I have summarized, but that's the jist of it.

I lost the URL, but I want to find it again because it was a very unique kind of deconversion story. I haven't seen another one like it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Just a thought - was it in the atheists' testimony thread?

I was planning on going back and re-reading that thread today anyway; I'll let you know if I find an entry like you describe.....

Rama Krishna did teh same thing, and concluded that God could be found through all religions.

...consequently ended up concluding that it was all in his head.

The Tibetans say that Creation is made of Mind or Mind-matter if you will.

No, I don't think so. It was in the course of one of the debates/flamefests that go on here all the time. Someone just provided a link to it as a way to show that those subjective religious experiences can't necessarily be trusted to tell you which religion is the One True Religion. I'm trying to remember some keywords so I can search on Google, but everything I try just leads me to mounds and mounds of relgious sites. I do remember the guy's site explained what he went through twice. The first time, sort of briefly, then he had gone back and rewritten it all in a more detailed way. That's about all I can remember. And it seemed like the site had a yellowish-tan background. (as if that helps narrow it down).

Default second post

I think I've seen that site, jhuger.something I think, I could be wrong but hey, worth a try. Try googlin' it, I'd also add something about the universal life curch (the site I'm thinking about had it, he had joined for the free reverend status)
