This thread was resurrected for some reason - I haven't kept up with the issue.

His stated intent was to raise money for charities, not for himself, which is admirable. But why should this money be raised by putting what should be public discourse behind a paywall?

A possible unstated reason would be to keep anonymous internet riff raff off his forums.

They see the name 'Jesus' in the Bible---and choose to remain willfully ignorant that there never was any name 'Jesus' in the Bible.

The Christians preach a name that never was, and do their baptizing into a name that never was,

and have told of all their outlandish lies in a name that never was,

And have committed all of their thefts, mayhem, and murders down through the ages in a lying name that never was.

But men still choose not to notice for the sake of keeping and using this false and lying name that never was.

This was predicted. And so it is. Thieves and liars and murderers love to have it so.
