Both from the American Heritage Dictionary, Fourth Edition...which I'm going to tend to trust more than "Dr. Scott".

I ran across someone very much like WT in another forum...a guy named Grant. He too would make outrageous claims, but was unable to back them up except by doctored or made-up data, and cried foul every time he was caught at it. Then he would claim victory and carry on with his nuttiness.

Nonsense. You have a very simple challenge in BC&H waiting for you, which is to synchronise the MT, LXX, SP, Jubilees, and Maccabean chronologies. You do that and then I'll debate you on chronology. Otherwise, you are wasting everybody's time by presuming your chronology is correct without first examining the sources you're using. Secondly, you have repeated the same set of ad hominems in two threads, trying to deflect any arguments or information that has absolutely no bearing on what's being said. The constant dragging of subjects off-topic with use of ad hominems and red herring is, in my opinion, trolling, but it's against forum rules to call you a troll, so I'll just let people join the dots. The evidence for your attempted evasions is very clear already. Any time you can't answer something, you accuse the other person of evading, or else launch into a ridiculous ad hominem that has already been pointed out to you to be a fallacy, both here, and at Tweb, and at EvC, and practically every other board you've posted at.

Maybe I'm overly confused here, but didn't TBT claim both that the Bible makes a good science text, but then also said that it "missed out on some details" (like, ya know, the extinction event at the end of the Cambrian era). But anyway, my point is, wouldn't the fact that it misses out on these details to begin with mean it's not a good science book?

And even though others have brought this up as well, what on earth is with people thinking that ancient humans were stupid rather than just having less information at their disposal?
