So good I'm going to say it again: Just because I don't think I need to be saved from sin, doesn't mean I don't. Conversely and by the same logic, the following is ALSO true: Just because you do think I need to be saved from sin, doesn't mean I actually do. So... where does this leave us? Neither your belief nor my belief is any way to determine the truth of the matter, as we can see. So how on earth can we find out the truth of the matter? Well... how about... EVIDENCE!! Yes, that would be a start. Magus55, I hereby challenge you to present any evidence you have that I need to be saved from sin. (I also think you ought to define what exactly you, personally, mean by "saved from sin", as well, since no two Christians seem to agree on the specifics and I don't want to end up addressing a straw man.) |

6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but my ears you have pierced [2] , [3] ; burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. In the NIV it uses "require" rather than "desire". Either way, these passages say that burnt offerings were not needed, but it doesn't say that they were inadequate. If you can find time to give me more OT passages that show the sin problem I'd appreciate it. --Krusty |
