Bad food and bad taste? There's great food everywhere in the U.S. Bad taste? I think that citizens of all nations are guilty of that.

But when it comes to beer I have to put my jingoism aside and agree-at least when discussing major breweries. American mega swill like Coors Light and Budweiser are indeed abominations. Truth be told, I haven't really sampled too many Canadian beers in recent years. I'm usually focused on Irish stouts and reds, weisbeer, and various other European stuff.
But when it comes to micro-breweries, Americans can compete with the best in the world.

Oh no! You mean, the US would not defend us against the Irakians or other bad people if for some unknown reason they should attack us? Say it ain't so. I feel so weak and powerless. Sniff Sniff. Let me tell that to my friends so that we can start licking your collective ass like we should all obviously do.

Hypothesis: Now that (newsflash) WWII has ended and (newsflash) the cold war has ended and (newsflash) the US is one the only country to still have in service a big expeditionnary force, don't you think you wouldn't need it anymore if you would just stop pissing other countries off? Have you ever though that, maybe, just maybe, Canada doesn't have a big army because we learned that if you threat other countries with respect, they don't plan suicide attacks against you?

We don't want Celine Dion. We don't understand why you like her. So we made her learn english and shiped her to Vegas.

For all Dion fans, try this:
a) Find one of her old french album.
b) Listen to it
c) You can now commit suicide.

You've got your facts wrong.
It was Russians who got Hitler, and Italian Communist partisans who got Mussolini.
But hey, don't worry, Russian beer is as awful as American beer.
