Quote:
They cast him in the role of the Yom kippur scapegoat in the Jesus/Barrabas incident.
and of course, there are always the early manuscripts of Matthew that list Barabas' first name as Jesus...how comical...

Jesus Barabas = Jesus Son of the Father vs. Jesus the Christ (King of the Jews)

Sorry, but this has to be a Roman joke...

Regarding the strange, new God, maybe this statement from John even refers to him:

Quote:
28So Jesus proclaimed,(AO) as he taught in the temple, (AP) "You know me, and you know where I come from? But(AQ) I have not come of my own accord.(AR) He who sent me is true,(AS) and him you do not know.

...and another curious statement, by JC, in the same vain:

Quote:
18(A) No one has ever seen God;(B) the only God,[a] who is at the Father’s side,[b](C) he has made him known.
Of course, Adam, Moses, et al... may have begged to differ...

Marking doors for good luck or for avoiding bad luck is a too common feature in lots of cultures to have any significance. Here's one example.

The year-old, male lamb, that had been kept as a pet for fourteen days, was slaughtered at twilight.

And there is no connexion with Jesus?
Wasn't he slightly older than one year? Who kept him as a pet? Not even "at twilight" matches the myth.

Well, No. Sure that was what was done for the first passover
There was only one Passover.

Quote:
But this is not that to which Paul is referring.
'Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.' 1 Cor 5:7-8

Quote:
(not ot mention that makes no sense here, the angel of death was not at the door).
Death's door awaits us all.

I did not say that. Of course there was.
Of course.
