				 | Torah, Bible & Qur'an are not Proof!

Hi All. It seems that since my deconversion, I have been indulging myself into many debates with my friends regarding religion. Every believer I encounter always tries to use versus from the Biblical Books to prove his/her point. When I tell them that words written in books are not proof they get offended and tell me these are Gods Words? I say okay can I meet your God, then they get even more offended. I simply ask them to prove their points without using any versus from the Biblical Books. I'd like anyone on this forum to relate to what I am saying or tell me why should or why shouldn't I accept the versus from the Biblical Books as proof when I can get solid proof that these versus are made up all together How should I address this issue? |

You have to attack them on the internal consistency of their beliefs. For instance if they claim that a holy book is the word of God, ask why only those books are the books of God. Then put forward alternative explanations. Work scientifically from the evidence.
