I'm not fascinated. This Thread starts off looking exactly like it is....something copy and pasted from somewhere else.

I googled it, and sure enough it caught hits. Then you claimed to be the original author of it, and the user that also claims to be the oringal author on the website I linked has been banned. So I was curious as to why that author was banned and read the discussions that both those threads started. The rest would be your handy work I presume, if that was you posting over there (before getting banned).

In fact I am so not fascinated that I'm done here. I just thought I'd save everyone else the trouble of going through the same shit they did.

We're done.

"off to bch"?

Let's see now, Samaritans don't belong in "abrahamic religions" despite the fact that they are historically, genetically, closer to Abraham than any other religion in existance.

Go figure.

A lot of Samaritan writings aren't in the Bible, Christian or Hebrew. They parted ways with the Jews after the Torah.

I guess someone was ignorant of that elementary fact.

Your post has been moved to a more appropriate setting, for the content and the likelihood of getting attention from people with interests in this sort of thing.

Something that was described as 'censoring' in another forum this matter was posted in.

There are threads created to host discussions, complaints and comments about the actions of the moderators for a given thread. In thread is against the rules.

I'm not sure which forum is set aside for snide remarks...

I haven't read your complete posting on this, but this statement is just wrong and probably prevades and compromises your other comments.

The Samaritans are evidently the people who survived the Assyrian conquest of Israel (in addition to immigrants) in 722 BCE. The law that these people (as well as the Judeans) had was quite crude, not even monotheistic.

This is not after the Torah. We know that the Torah was not in its final form until much later.

While the Samaritans got fucked over by the Jews (in a manner of speaking), the edifice you are attempting to construct is highly dubious.

It may be worth considering that people here may have a more refined understanding, which you may somehow be confusing as ignorant.

Every bit of it's cold hard fact, and frankly, elementary knowledge to anyone that spends 5 minutes with google and/or the five minutes to read the first 2 posts. If you think anything the Samaritans wrote are in the Christian or Hebrew Bible, after the Torah, produce it.

All is silence.

Your personal opinion. How nice. Considering 100% of the men in the 3 main tribes of Samaritans have the Cohen gene. For 3,400 years, the wife of every male ancestor never cheated. (To be a Samaritan, your father has to be a Samaritan, unlike the Jews.) They didn't cheat for 3,400 years, they honored the Written Law of Moses telling them not to, but they didn't keep a good copy of their precious Written Law that told them to?

For starters, the old Samaritan Torah's are written in the slanted Hebrew from before 600BCE. But then, you are innocent of all these facts, because you'd just rather make pronouncements.

The oldest physical copies of Samaritan and Jewish Torah's are about 200-300BCE. (Perhaps older.) They already had evolved for centuries.

Hmmm, you're having difficulty showing that you understand what facts are. Remember, there are facts, damned facts and internet facts. They are the weaseliest things at any time before you start trying to parade internet facts as the raw deal.

Having read your work at the beginning of this thread, I have seen very little in it that I would consider anything but internet fact.

If you want facts, you need to get off the internet and into a library of quality, one which would have Ingrid Hjelm's or Alan Crown's work on the Samaritans. These are scholars who know the original literature available

I don't think this deals with what you were trying to answer.

"[T]hree tribes of Samaritans"! You might find you'd get a little more interest if you published your sources when you paste your material somewhere. I know the Samaritans themselves look back to the "half-tribes" of Ephraim and Manasseh. But three tribes? Which? The ones that "humbled" themselves at the time of Hezekiah? Publish your sources so people can know what you are on about.

I'd love to know the research you carried out to be able to say that.

From when and how would it be tested??

When you talk about the "Written Law of Moses", you are talking to the wrong crowd: very few people here would accept that the pentateuch was a product of Moses or that it was available as early as religious folk claim.

When you already know that the oldest physical fragments of Hebrew literature date back to 300BCE, shouldn't that give you food for thought rather than cause to make claims about how texts were written before 600BCE?
